Inquiry - Natural Disasters Reflection!

Inquiry - Natural Disasters Reflection!
Talofa Lava and welcome to my blog! Yesterday for Inquiry we got given a task to do! Ms Komor shared with us a presentation that had some information about the different types of natural disasters! Part of this task was to make a definition of a natural disaster that you have chosen! The Natural Disaster I chose to do was a TORNADO! Others chose to do a Tornado to so it was better for myself and my learning to ask for help etc.

In this presentation we had a slide where we had to use different websites to help us identify at least 5 different types of natural disasters and to describe at least 2 different effects from each of them! Here is what I had:

There are many different natural disasters. Earthquakes, Tornadoes, Volcanic eruptions, Tsunamis and Hurricanes are 5 of them!
Earthquake - Because of the Earthquake people’s belongings get broken due to the Earth shaking! They also lose family members as some things like the house collapse while some family members are inside.
Tornado - Tornadoes have a really big affect on people’s lives when they go through it! It can pick up anything and everything that gets in its way! These things include: Houses, Animals, People, and many, many things! People can lose their lives and belongings in this Tornado!
Volcanic Eruptions - Volcanic Eruptions is something no one can survive (unless you’re far away of course)! The HOT LAVA can burn you even by one little tap! It can kill you if you get caught up in it which means you will be burned to death!
Tsunami - A Tsunami is a big heap of water that drowns many, many people! It can cause floods and also damage to environment! Not only does it affect us humans it also affects animals and their health! Some animals do not know how to swim which is really sad!

Hurricanes - Hurricanes consist of wind, really strong wind and heaps of water! It knocks out many houses and also floods out many streets! It can take many peoples lives which is really heartbreaking!

That's what I wrote for the explore part! We also had to make our own definition of what a Natural Disaster is! Here is my definition:
A Tornado is a heap of wind that violently rotates in the area it started!
