IALT: wish my cousin happy birthday!
Talofa Lava and welcome to my blog! Today is a very special day because it is my cousin, Vaiola's birthday! Today she turns 10 which means she is turning the BIG DOUBLE DIGITS!!! Vaiola is like a little sister to me and I am glad that I was able to hug her and wish her happy birthday at school today!
Vaiola got her ears pierced for her birthday and when I went to her house she looked really BEAUTIFUL! Her earing was a flower and kind of had holographic in it which made it so PRETTY! I would like to wish Vaiola a big HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY! May our heavenly father bless you and may he guide you and be by your side with whatever you do! Enjoy being a kid while your at it, being double digits makes you a "Big Girl" I guess?! LOL

๐Ÿ˜”Technology Reflection - Last Day Of Cooking!!!๐Ÿ˜”

๐Ÿ˜”Technology Reflection - Last Day Of Cooking!!!๐Ÿ˜”
IALT: talk about technology today!
Kia Ora and welcome to my blog! Today was a really sad day because it was our last day of cooking in technology!! I will miss going to technology and eating really delicious food because I love to learn new things and I really love learning to cook!
Image result for cook gif
Today we made Blueberry muffins which were DELICIOUS!!! I will miss cooking so much! I am excited to go into graphics and by listening to my friend's and their experience with Graphics, I think one thing I will find hard is drawing because I am not a good drawer and sometimes I like to make things look good when it doesn't need to be! One thing I think will help me get through this challenge is if I have a growth mindset at all times!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Today in technology, I was buddies with Hevani and we were all really sad because we thought we were making NACHOS AGAIN!!! But we were lucky because we ended up making BLUEBERRY MUFFINS!!!!

Here is the recipe for Blueberry Muffins:

 1 1/2 C of S.R Flour (Self Raising Flour)
- 1/2 C of SUGAR
- 1/2 C of OIL
- 1/2 C of MILK, 1 EGG
- 1/2 C of BLUEBERRY
- Mix well and scoop into muffin tin
- Bake 180 degrees celsius
- Cool down and top with whip cream.
------------------------------------------------------------------
I now know how to bake DELICIOUS blueberry muffins and I would love to make more! I currently know how to make blueberry muffins, banana muffins and I guess that's it!
Image result for muffins gif
I enjoyed EVERYTHING about today's lesson besides the fact that it was our last lesson! :(
I would like to say THANK YOU Mrs Tuipulotu for all the hard work you have been through to make our cooking class a success!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Question of the blog: Have you ever done cooking at technology? If so, what was your favorite dish?

Thank you for reading this blog! Bye :)

๐Ÿ˜œMaths - Adding and Subtracting Fractions!๐Ÿ˜œ

๐Ÿ˜œMaths - Adding and Subtracting Fractions!๐Ÿ˜œ
IALT: talk about what maths Ms Komors group has been doing.
Talofa lava and welcome to my blog! For maths I am in Ms Komors group and last week for maths we were learning to convert mixed fractions into common fractions and vise versa.  We have been learning to add and subtract fractions with the same or related denominator!
Image result for fractions gif
I personally LOVE MATHS! It is one of my favorite subjects at school! I've learned a lot about fractions with Miss Ashley last year which has helped me to gather all that knowledge and expand that learning from this year! My favorite part about maths is getting to present and share our learning with the group because it helps me become more confident but it also helps me learn new strategies to use! One thing I find challenging in maths is trying to explain to my group the strategy I used and also how I got the answer. This is because sometimes when I get to excited in maths, I can be impatient which I am currently working on! :) One thing I need to improve on in maths is to use different and new strategies so I am not always using just ONE!
Image result for thumbs up
I hope I am able to do maths today or tomorrow because  I really miss solving equations and using my head to figure out the strategy!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question of the blog: What is your favourite subject in school?

Thank you for reading this blog! Make sure to give me some positive feedback for my future.

๐Ÿค“Writing - Poetic Writing!๐Ÿค“

๐Ÿค“Writing - Poetic Writing!๐Ÿค“
IALT: blog about the S.L.A.M structure
Malo e Lelei and welcome to my blog! Today I will be blogging about WRITING! I love to write stories and recently the Kia Manawanui syndicate have been learning about POETIC WRITING! Poetic writing is a type of writing that explains something by inferring that includes a rhythm and sometimes rhyme! The Kia Manawanui syndicate has recently been using the S.L.A.M structure to write their poems!
Image result for poetry gif
S stands for STRUCTURE, L stands for LANGUAGE, A stands for AFFECT and M stands for MESSAGE! Here is the poem I made using the S.L.A.M structure.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Terrifying Tornado!

Image result for tornado gif
As the supercell thunderstorm happens, air rises in the atmosphere, out comes the big beast breaking peoples ears. As it spins round and round damage is caused, everyone horrified, only if life was like a movie I would press pause.

It’s a tornado that’s what it’s called, it makes me feel so appalled! Scared to death about life-loss and damage, so much to think about I just want to vanish! Families, children and many, many buildings, all fall down so quick it’s got me in my feelings.
Round and round the tornado goes, busting cars and busting homes.
BOOM! The buildings collapse, leaving rubbish, making GASPS!
As the funnel shaped heap of wind rotates around your area, all you can really see is cars and objects EVERYWHERE!
Praying to god you stay safe, after it’s done, you need to leave from that place!

Tornadoes are destruction! BANG!!! Lives, homes and cars are what they take, having no mercy, it makes my heart ache.
Those that are in pain
Just begging for survival
Not thinking what’s next
Not even about affects.

BOOM! The last piece of life you’ve got left, taken away by the beast, still alive you’re truly blessed. Not much people made it but you are still alive, now it’s time to move on and start a better life.

My poem is about a Tornado! I feel like tornadoes are really dangerous especially if you're witnessing it, but natural disasters are just HORRIBLE in general!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
My goal for writing next time is to finish in time so I can finish of any recent work that I have to do! I think one thing I found challenging was adding in some figurative language especially since writing is something I am not really good at (in my opinion). One thing I enjoyed doing was using the S.L.A.M structure which helped ma a lot while writing this story!
Question of the blog: Have you ever used the S.L.A.M structure before?

Thank you for reading this blog! Make sure to give me some positive feedback and feedforward! Bye :)

๐Ÿค”Museum Trip - Friday!๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿค”Museum Trip - Friday!๐Ÿค”
IALT: reflect on our museum trip today!
Talofa Lava and welcome to my blog! Today I will be blogging about the trip half of the Kia Manawanui syndicate went on last Friday! I have already blogged about our first lesson on Tuesday, CLICK ME and today I will be blogging about our last one which was on Friday!
Image result for friday
Tuesday's lesson was all about PLANNING and RESEARCHING and Friday's lesson was all about making the project and CREATING! i was in my group with Edith and Grace and we started off our project bu making a storyboard about what we were going to draw! Our project was about Volcanic Eruptions and the tools we used to make our film was Paint 3d, Virtual Reality and Green Screen!
Image result for green screen
Image result for clock emojiMy favourite part of the day was drawing the dormant volcano on Paint 3d because I am not really an experienced drawer which means I am not good at it! But I am so proud of myself because it actually came out really good then I thought it would! One thing I kind of didn't like was the way I used my time because I think if I had managed my time more wisely my group and I could've got a lot more done!

One thing I would change if I could, I would change the time we had on Virtual Reality because my group and I thought it wasn't fair that we only got 15 minutes and the other group got almost a hour!

My next learning steps is to have a growth mindset while working to get the work done in a HAPPY way! I think also to stay on task instead of wander around looking at other peoples work when I have my own to do! To achieve this goal, I need to ENCOURAGE myself to make sure that everyone is on task so I am too!
Image result for smile
What I found funny was when I was drawing our title on Virtual Reality because Edith and Grace had to guide me and tell me what to do and when I was drawing I accidently hit Edith in the face! OOPS! Sorry Edith :( LOL๐Ÿคฃ

Question of the blog: Have you ever been to the Museum?

๐ŸฒTechnology Reflection - Hawaiian Pizza๐Ÿฒ

๐ŸฒTechnology Reflection - Hawaiian Pizza๐Ÿฒ
IALT: reflect on Technology Today!
Kia Ora and welcome to my blog! Today we had technology and when the year 7's leave, the year 8's will be staying here at Tamaki College! Today in technology we made some DELICIOUS Hawaiian Pizza with Mrs Tuipulotu! This week was the second to last week which is pretty sad because I will miss making nice as food and learning how to cook! Today I buddied up with Hevani!

Here is the recipe for Hawaiian pizza:
 - Paste Sauce on top of the pizza
- Dice Ham, onion, pineapple, chicken
- Spread equally on top of the pizza bread
- Top up with cheese and bake 180 degrees celsius for 15 minutes!
I really enjoyed learning how to make Hawaiian Pizza! It was really simple, and also really DELICIOUS! One thing I learned from today's lesson is to always check on your pizza and use all your ingredients to add taste to the pizza! I also found out that me and Mrs Tuipulotu might be related!

One thing I found challenging was dicing the ham and chicken! Since they were really big and slippery it was really uneven but it was still good for my best! My next learning steps are to try and cook with new people and not just with the same person all the time!

What was really funny was when everyone was laughing at me because I kept on eating everyones pineapples because they did not like it!

Question of the blog: Have you ever made Hawaiian Pizza?
Thank you for reading this blog! Bye :)

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜ŠWhat Now Reflection! - I was on TV?!!๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜ŠWhat Now Reflection! - I was on TV?!!๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜Š
IALT: reflect about my experience on What Now!
Malo e Lelei and welcome to my blog! Sunday was a really INCREDIBLE and AWESOME day because What Now, the AWESOME TV show, came to TPS! Many students, families and parents were there! Camera crews, performers and also the 3 main people of What Now, Ronnie, Erin, and Chris were there! I had so much fun today, and the best part was I GOT TO BE ON TV and I also got to meet ALL THREE OF THEM! Continue reading to find out more of this AWESOME SUNDAY!
Image result for what now
-------------------------------------------------------------
I will be writing an AMAZING reflection to show what an AWESOME time I had in What Now! I hope you enjoy reading :) Malo!

On Sunday, I woke up at 5:30am and went BACK TO SLEEP after like 2 minutes! LOL ๐ŸคฃI ended up waking up again at 6:20am but it's alright because it still was SO EARLY!!! I was freezing cold but I managed to get up and get ready for the day!

My mum tied my hair in a pony-tail and finished straightening it so I was basically done! We were rushing so much so we could go pick up Alo so we can make it in time! When we got to TPS we thought we weren't going to be in the audience and we were only going to be watching but instead we got a FREE SEAT!!!

---------------------------------------------------------
The most thing I enjoyed about the day was EVERYTHING because I got to participate in leading the chant with Akanesi, and Constance! I also enjoyed hearing news from my cousins, family, teachers, friends and classmates on Monday because they watched the show too! My dad's little brother laughed at me because I was on my phone, my dad mocked me because I was on TV a lot and I was never ready! My cousins just said I looked nice which was really polite because I really was never camera ready... LOL ๐Ÿ˜†
One thing I found challenging was avoiding getting GUNGED!!! This was a challenged because we were literally involved with almost every GUNGE activity their was! For example, we participated in the activity where Toots (special guest) pops these balloons filled with gunge and it just goes everywhere! Us big kids were safe but unlucky for the little kids up front!!๐Ÿ˜
Image result for gunge what now
My next steps are to blog my reflection earlier to keep in track of time etc. To achieve this goal I need to finish the blog on time and not get distracted by anyone or anything!
Image result for try quote
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Question of the blog: Did you watch What Now on Sunday? If so, did you see anyone you know?

Thank you for reading this blog! Make sure to give me some positive feedback and feedforward for my future! Bye :)

๐ŸซMuseum Trip Reflection! - Tuesday!๐Ÿซ

๐ŸซMuseum Trip Reflection! - Tuesday!๐Ÿซ
IALT: reflect on our museum trip on Tuesday!
Kia Orana and welcome to my blog! Today I will be reflecting on the Kia Manawanui syndicates museum trip! Last week half of Kia Manawanui went to the museum on Tuesday and Friday, this week, the other half are going while we stay here at school!
Image result for tamaki primary
Image result for auckland museumI really enjoyed the museum because I got to learn HEAPS about natural disasters! We had two guiders/instructors and they were Wendy and Angelique! They taught us about different materials/tools we could use to make our project! These tools were Tinkercad, Stop Motion, Robot, Virtual Reality, 3D painting, and Green screen! I was so EXCITED to use these tools especially Virtual Reality! I really liked using Virtual Reality because I was able to present my learning in a FUN and ENJOYABLE way! I'm thinking if there are different ways we can use these  tools to help our learning! If I could change one thing I would change the places we went to because we only went to the Volcano place and went back. I would've loved to explore more exhibitions! One thing I found challenging was Paint 3D because I am not a really good drawer but I still tried my best and actually drew a dormant volcano!

My next steps are to have a growth mindset and a positive attitude to get the work done!
---------------------------------------------------------
Question of the blog: Have you ever been to the Auckland Museum? If so how old were you when you first went there?

On Tuesday's session it was all about planning and getting use to the tools so we can be comfortable when we make our project using these tools! I had SO MUCH FUN last Tuesday so THANK YOU to the Auckland museum for having us!

Thank you for reading this blog, Bye! :)

๐Ÿ˜What Now Coming To TPS?!!!!๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ˜What Now Coming To TPS?!!!!๐Ÿ˜
IALT: talk about What Now coming to TPS!
Kia Orana and welcome to my blog! Tomorrow is a very special and lucky day for us TPS and PES students because What Now is coming to Tamaki! The reason why Pt England are lucky is because they were also invited to come and be in the show too! What Now is a New Zealand children's show that is filmed at a school which is chosen every week! TPS is really lucky because we were the school that got chosen to be on What Now!
Image result for what now
One thing I am looking forward to in What Now is that we have an opportunity to be on TV but not only that, TPS is also able to communicate with people who have changed many people's lives, through TV but also in reality! I am kind of sad because I will not be in the audience but I will be a guest which means I won't participate in activities or be on TV but you know what that doesn't bother me! I am happy to go meet 3 AMAZING people who are stars of a NZ TV show that has been on since 1981!

I am looking forward for tomorrow and I hope you are too!
(If you come!)
---------------------------------------------------
Question of the blog: Are you coming tomorrow?
Fun Fact: Ronnie, one of the stars on What Now, is Samoan!

๐Ÿ˜‹Technology Reflection! - Sausage Kebabs!๐Ÿ˜‹

๐Ÿ˜‹Technology Reflection! - Sausage Kebabs!๐Ÿ˜‹
IALT: reflect on technology!
Malo e Lelei and welcome to my blog! I am currently in Mrs Tuipulotus class in technology! I am making a reflection about technology and I hope you enjoy it!

Today we made Sausage Kebabs which was so DELICIOUS!!! I buddied up with Fa'afiu and together we made FANTASTIC Kebabs! Since there were only 8 of us here (the rest were at cross country) we were able to make 8 kebabs so we could have 4 each!

Here is the recipe for Sausage Kebabs:
Step 1- Put the skewer into a bowl of cold water.

Step 2- Slice sausages
2. Peppers
3. Onions

Step 3 - Combine on one stick and bake for 15 minutes.

Step 4 - Take picture first and eat after!

I really enjoyed making these sausage kebabs! They ended up being really nice and some people actually ended up making more! Perenara ate 10 kebabs! I ate mine with sweet chilli sauce and it was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be asking my mum if we could make some for dinner tonight or later this week!

Question of the blog: Have you ever made Sausage kebabs?
Thank you for reading this blog! Make sure to give me some positive feedback and feedforward for my future! Many thanks, Bye :)

๐Ÿ’•Inspiring Quote Bubble - Words!๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿ’•Inspiring Quote Bubble - Words!๐Ÿ’•
IALT: blog an inspirational quote bubble
Kia Ora and welcome to my blog! Today I will be making ANOTHER inspiring quote bubble! In my last inspiring quote bubble I made a quote talking about TALK and the way we TALK! Here is the link: CLICK ME
Today I made a DLO showing another quote and today's topic is WORDS! I hope you learn something from this quote, here it is:
The quote says: Be sure to taste your words before you spit them out! - Words can hurt!
To me this means thinking before you speak so no one can get hurt! It makes me a better person and it teaches me so much even though it's just a quote! When other people don't think before they speak to me and say something mean, I ignore them but also try to help them for their future!
You should do the same!

๐Ÿ˜Technology Reflection!๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ˜Technology Reflection!๐Ÿ˜
IALT: reflect on technology last week!
Talofa Lava and welcome to my blog! Last week on THursday the Kia Manawanui syndicate FINALLY had technology! Every Thursday's, the Kia Manawanui syndicate goes to Tamaki College for technology! Technology is like a little school that includes three classes which are Graphics, Hard Materials and Cooking! Our teachers are Mrs Tuipulotu (cooking), Ms Ferguson (graphics), and Mr Grundy (hard materials)!

Last week we were back to technology and I am in cooking with Mrs Tuipulotu! Last week we made HOT CAKES! If you do not know what hot cakes are, they are basically Pancakes!
Here is the recipe we used:
- 1 1/2 C of Self-Raising flour
- 1 C of Sugar
- 1/2 C of Milk
- 1 Egg
- Mix all together
- Make 2 Pancakes at a time!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
We had to get into buddies to make our Pancakes and I was buddies with Hevani! One thing I liked about last week's lesson is that we tried our best even when our batter wasn't the best!
Image result for pancakes
One thing I found challenging was making the Pancakes because we kept on burning it but the batter was too thick that it ruined the way we made the Pancakes! I think I can improve on following instructions more! If I do this maybe our Pancakes would turn out good next time!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question of the blog: Have you ever made Pancakes?
Today I think we might be making Hot Cakes again which is making me EXCITED! Thank you for reading this blog! Bye :)

๐Ÿ™‚Inspirational Quote Bubble - 'Talk'๐Ÿ™‚

๐Ÿ™‚Inspirational Quote Bubble - 'Talk'๐Ÿ™‚
IALT: blog an inspirational quote bubble!
Malo e Lelei and welcome to my blog! Today I will be blogging an inspirational quote bubble since I have not done one in FOREVER!!! For these blogs I will start having a topic just to give you guys a hint about what my quote would be about!
Image result for quote
If you do not know how this works, I basically make a DLO writing a quote to blog about! These quotes are based on things I go through that I think can help others! Today's topic is about 'Talking' and the way we 'Talk!' Here is my quote bubble:
The quote is: Say what you mean, but don't say it mean!
To me this quote means you can say what you want but say it in a way where no one else gets hurt! You can say what you're trying to say but say it in a way where everyone can understand but also be happy! I think these are one of the many ways I have been hurt (mentally), because words can hurt! Even though they are just words, they can hurt and you need to know that! :)
Image result for words can hurt
This quote means a lot to me and I hope you enjoyed reading!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question of the blog: What is your favorite quote?
Thank you for reading this blog! I hope you enjoyed reading these quotes and I hope you learned something from it! Make sure to comment down below the answer to the question of the blog! Bye :)
