Why drinking fizzy drinks should be ban - Persuasive writing

In my opinion drinking fizzy drinks should be ban.

The most important reason is the amount of sugar that is put in it. For example in a can of soda there are 10 teaspoons of sugar, so imagine how many teaspoons of sugar their be in a 2 litre bottle! The last example is that those who drink this liquid a lot could get diabetes and could die.

In addition there is a drug in this drink called caffeine. For example this drug can lead to certain cancers, high blood pressure, irregular heart beat, and other problems.

Finally the water in these gas drinks are just simple tap water which could include chemicals such as chlorine.

In conclusion that is why drinking fizzy drinks should be ban.

Story Cubes - The time I got the key to the sky tower by a man with a flower on his head.

The time I got the key to the sky tower by a man with a flower on his hand.
So as normal I was walking with my family in town looking for a restaurant to eat at until I see this man with a flower on his head, the flower was purplish. The man was staring at me so I kept on walking. We walked into the restaurant named Fortuna. We ate lots and we were all full.

As we head outside to the car I see the man again. I was so terrified so I looked away and kept walking. I glanced back again and I saw him smiling at me, so you know what I did, I smiled back hoping that was all I needed to do for him to leave me alone. As soon as I smiled back I looked away. Then my dad turns around and says “ Lydia come on walk faster, or else come in front of me” I walked in front of my dad and kept on walking.

My car was so far away that we were walking for more than 30 minutes. “ Why did we park so far away if we knew we were gonna go and eat at a restaurant so far away?” I asked. Nobody replied so we just kept walking.

As we were walking we came past the sky tower and got stopped by the man. He smiled at me and said “Hi there”, nobody replied and he asked “how would you like to enter the sky tower for free?” , “like you have the key, to the sky tower, come on let’s go” replied my dad. Than the man said “actually I do” as he gets the key out of his pocket. I was so excited so I said “okay open it then” he opened the door and took us to the top of the sky tower. I was so excited, “this is a great ending to a great night with my family” I thought.

The End!

Senior Olympics 2016

Malo E Leilei. Yesterday at school we had the Senior Olympics for 2016. We had 4 stations. The 1st one that the year 5's went to was long jump with Miss Kumor. There were 2 cones facing each other what we had to do was run to the other cone stop and jump our hardest. The person who jumped the furthest his/her jump would be the length we had to beat. The 2nd station was shot put with Miss Shiriwasto. I think we all know what we had to do at this station. The next station was Gymnastics with Caleb and Kelly. What we had to do was run jump over the volt then keep on running and jump over this rainbow thing onto the ramp and do a rolly polly until we get to the blue mat where we have to do a handstand then jump over another volt and we're finished. The 2nd to last station was with Mrs Sharma. We played rob the nest. To play rob the nest you have to run up and get the ball when the teacher said go. Whoever got the most balls wins. The last station was relays with Miss Ashley and Miss Irene. There were 5 teams of 4. 1 person from each team went around the bike track and stood at a cone. 1 person would stand at the starting place with the baton and run to the 2nd person, then the 2nd person would run to the 3rd person and then it carries on to the 4th person then to the finish line. I had so much fun at the senior Olympics and I loved all of them but my favorite was gymnastics. By the way the Olympics we had wasn't about winning it was about having fun. Remember Humble winners, Gracious losers. Bye. Hope you enjoyed the Olympics to!

Persuasive writing

IAL: the structure of persuasive writing.
Topic: Miss M should take us to jump!

I strongly believe that Miss M should take room 8 to jump. We deserve to go because we work very very hard. For example you were very pleased with us when we beat room 7 at all challenges we played. In conclusion that is why Miss M should take us to Jump!
