🤞🏾My Team Building Experience!🤞🏾
WALT: Build Positive relationships with others!
Malo E Lelei and welcome to my blog! Last week was a very EXCITING and FUN week because the Kia Manawanui syndicate had a sleepover here at school!
Today I have been working on my reflection for you all! I had so much fun and I really wish we can do it again! Having this sleepover helped us all get closer to one another and it helped us build positive relationships with others! It helped the Kia Manawanui syndicate work as one and it helped us be a T.E.A.M! Here is my reflection:

🌺Hauora Metaphors🌺

🌺Hauora Metaphors🌺
WALT: Describe Our Hauora using Metaphors
Talofa Lava! Welcome back to my blog! Recently the Kia Manawanui syndicate has been learning about our Hauora! Today we used a metaphor to describe our Hauora. We used Play Dough and Clay to create our metaphor and our goal was to be C R E A T I V E!

Hauora is all about your well-being and health! Ms Aireen showed us a few examples of students who have completed their Hauora using a metaphor. We brainstormed some ideas and we came up with:
- Tree
- River
- Swing
- Mat
- Bible
- Paddle
- Rock
- Sun
- Waka
- Flower
- Necklace
- Drum
- Conch
- Didgeridoo
- Fist
- Flag
- Cultural Tee-shirt (Aloa)
- Patterns

MY METAPHOR
I made a metaphor that represents my Hauora and I chose a Hibiscus Flower for my metaphor. I used PLAYDOUGH to create my metaphor. I found this art task kind of challenging and difficult because in my head I imagined it being easy but when I started the playdough was kind of hard and it was really difficult because I was struggling to make the petals.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
I made a DLO-Presentation to share with you all the Explanation writing I made explaining my Hauora and how a flower represents my Hauora. Here is the DLO:

I hope you enjoyed reading my DLO! I used the S.E.E.E structure to write my explanation and I had a lot of fun doing it!

👍My Hauora (Well-Being) -The 4 Walls of Whare Tapa Wha👍
IALA: Hauora and my well-being!
Kia Ora and welcome to my blog! Recently the Kia Manawanui syndicate have been learning about Hauora. (Well - Being) Hauora is all about your health and the way you look after yourself!

There are four different dimensions in your Hauora and they are Taha Tinana (Physical well-being), Taha Hinengaro (Mental & Emotional Well-being), Taha Wairua (Spiritual Well-being) and Taha Whanau (Social and Family Well-being)! I have made a presentation to present my learning about Hauora and my Whare tapa wha!
Here is my presentation:

I have also provided examples of how you can take care of your well being and how your Hauora affects your life! I learned that if your Hauora is not balanced, your Whare Tapa Wha can possibly collapse and you won't have much of a healthy life!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is why I love to look after my Hauora and why my Hauora is really important to me!
Question of the blog: Is your Hauora balanced?

Thank you for reading this blog! Make sure to give me some POSITIVE feedback and feedforward for my future! Bye :)

📓Attitude Program! - Reflection📓

📓Attitude Program! - Reflection📓
IALT: Reflect on the Attitude Program
Malo E Lelei and welcome to my blog! Today the Kia Manawanui syndicate had a very special guest come in! His name is Tony and he is the loving son of our teacher aide Kelly! Tony works for the Attitude program and he came in to teach us about Being Me and being ourselves!

From the presentation I learned that everyone is not normal because everyone is different and unique in their own ways! One thing I learned about Tony is that he grew up with the question Am I normal? I have never thought about this question but during the presentation, I thought about it and asked to myself Am I normal? One thing I realised from this lesson is that you don't have to blend in with others because being yourself and being you is what makes you UNIQUE and what makes you COOL!

After the presentation part where Tony explained to us everything about the Attitude program we split into two groups. Group 1 went with Tony to room 9 while group 2 stayed with Ms. Aireen in room 10. I was in group 1 and it was our time to do the workshops with Tony! We got given our activity books and Tony started with the lesson!

In the workshop, we talked about what animal personality we are and who am I? We done a test and this test determined what animal personality we have. There are four different personality types and they are:
Lion
Otters
Beavers
Golden Retrievers
After this lesson, I found out that I am a Lion/Beaver and since I had to choose one I realised that I was more of a Lion, a leader and brave!
The best part about being a Lion is being able to lead in situations needed! For example, if there is a situation where a group of people don't know what to do, you can take initiative and help them out by explaining to them what do and also encouraging them to listen next time!
Things that Lions commonly struggle with is sometimes being a bit bossy. Lions usually analyse everything they do which is good, but only sometimes. I think that having a Lion personality, I need to work on giving everyone a say to contribute ideas and expressing my ideas in the right way.

Below I have written down some people I am close to and what personality type I think they are.
Lion: My dad!
My dad is a very brave and strong leader! He is really good at teaching others new things and is also really good at taking initiative and being a leader at the right time!
Otters: Gracie/Helena/Stephney
I believe that these three are Otters! They like to laugh, joke around but they still manage to TALK and work!
Beavers: Gracie/Hevani
I think that Gracie and Hevani are very hardworking people! They would take any opportunity if it means being able to finish off work!
Golden Retrievers: Hevani
Hevani is such a peacemaker! She is always calm, relaxed, and doesn't talk a lot! But whenever someone is in trouble, Hevani loves to cheer them up and make sure everyone is happy!

------------------------------------------------------------------------
I learned a lot today! I am really thankful for the opportunity to have the Attitude program come visit our class!
