Have you ever heard of the Amazon River? The Amazon River is the largest river in the WORLD! It is located in South America and is 6,400 kms long! (WHAT?!) The Amazon river is filled with a lot of fish and Scientists believe that there are 3000 different types of fishes in the Amazon river! (CRAZY!) For this activity, we were given a list of facts about fish and we have to use our researching skills to figure out whether they're TRUE or FALSE! Let's get started!

List of facts:
Fish Fact #1: The oldest known fish in the world is a 65 year old Australian lungfish.

Fish Fact #2: Sharks are the only fish that have eyelids.

Fish Fact #3: Starfish are a type of fish.

  1. Hi Lydia!

    Me again. :)

Ka mahi! (Well done). Not only have you answered all of the true or false questions correctly, you've given us the correct information as well! You've gone above and beyond here, Lydia, I'm very impressed. :)

Did you know that even though sharks have eyelids, they can't actually use them? So they can't blink! Isn't that interesting? I wonder why they have them then.

I like that you've included an extra fun fact as well - I didn't know electric eels and rays could kill horses. That's crazy! Thank you for teaching me something new. :)

Keep up the amazing blogging Lydia. He whetu koe! (You're a star!) :)

    Mikey
